We love Himeji Castle!
The Castle’s appearance is like a white egret in flight and is often referred to as the “White Egret Castle”. It has been restored many times by many craftsmen, during the Meiji, Showa, and Heisei periods. Protected by the people, the castle became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.Standing in front of this real castle, you can imagine yourself traveling back i to the Edo period, when the castle first took on its current form. In this place, there once stood many palaces and beautiful gardens.

FUWARI TOURISM
Fuwari Tourism’s concept
Fuwari Tourism’s concept is “Spiritual Rides Change the World.”
Riding a bicycle can make you think about various things and feel different emotions. Messages from the invisible world are conveyed through words, places, people, history, media, and more.It is important to feel, think, pray, and act on these messages. I especially encourage women try to ride bicycles because it was women on bicycles who established women’s human rights. We can change the future too.
Welcome to Himeji. My name is Rie, but please call me Lee-chan. I’ve been living in Himeji for 30 years, and I’m excited to start working as a cycling tour guide for inbound tourists. Let me tell you a little about why I chose this path.I started riding bicycles at a young age and began riding road bikes about 10 years ago.
Why do I enjoy road bike riding?
When I first started, I was searching for my way in life.As I rode—taking different routes and exploring new places—I’ve realized that a bicycle is a vehicle that can take me anywhere and even help me feel the presence of God. Now, I’m here to share the story of Princess Sen, otherwise known as “the Harima Princess”, through my cycling tour. Using the art of ”Kamishibai“, a traditional Japanese storytelling method, I will tell you the tale of “The Harima Princess”.

On this website, we feature the official brand message and logo of Himeji City. These are designed to widely promote the charms of Himeji and to help more people fall in love with our city.
Moving forward, we will continue to share a variety of information to ensure that everyone who visits Himeji feels glad they came.
